Job Description

Innovative and dynamic personal injury law firm seeks articulate professional to work as an accounting clerk to assist in the firm’s financials. Join our wonderful legal team and have a great opportunity to learn the mass tort process while being part of a team of professionals. In order to succeed in this firm, you must have a strong work ethic; possess excellent written and communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, good time management, and be a committed team member.  

Essential Job Functions

·       Assist the Senior Staff Accountant in daily accounting duties
·       Assist in monthly account reconciliations
·       Process monthly expense reports
·       Complete journal entries
·       Complete weekly vendor invoices and code costs to correct account
·       Enter transactions into QuickBooks
·       Perform other ad hoc projects  
·       Process accounts payable and receivable
·       Assist with settlement disbursements

Qualifications & Requirements

Prior office setting experience preferred. Accounting or finance experience and/or education preferred. High school diploma required. QuickBooks experience preferred. Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail is required. Flexible schedule working 20-25 hours a week, Monday through Friday based on school schedule between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
